Technology Tips – Repairing Earphone Cables

Do you have a pair of earphones which have part of the plastic cable worn down exposing the wires? If the sound still works perfectly fine but the wire is close to falling apart just take some superglue and fill the exposed area. Let it dry and you’re done, the glue should harden and your earphones will be back to normal. You can place tape over the exposed area to spread the glue around and act as further protection. This happen on my 1.5 year old Ultimate Ears Super-fi 3 and saved me from ordering a replacement set of cables for $44.
